Electric Guitar / Piano / Accordion
(in meike's band 1998-2002)

Jens Eckhoff comes from Hanover and was a member of meike's band from 1998 until the end of 2002. On her CDs "angel" (1998) and "soap for dirty girls" (2002) he can be heard on guitar, keyboards and accordion.

Jens studied music education at Hanover University of Music and Drama. In 1998 he attended the Popkurs ("Kontaktstudiengang Popularmusik") in Hamburg, a course of studies for rock and pop musicians, where he met meike koester.

He lived for one year in Berlin and tried to hit it big with his band Filiale Lotus (with Roman Riklin und Daniel Kramer). He also became the right-hand studio man for Germany's no. 1 guitar player Peter Weihe (also producer for acts like Bandits or Pe Werner). And as a result, Jens was promptly sent on a Germany tour with Pe Werner in the Fall of 2000.

In 2000 Jens was invited by Peter Weihe to participate once again in the "Popkurs" in Hamburg. Together with Judith Holofernes, Pola Roy and Mark Tavasoll he founded the band "Wir sind Helden" ("We Are Heroes") and became a pop star. The rest is history ... (check out the links).
